Character Design Thread
Designing characters for your stories can be an involving task, and you really have to give a piece of yourself to bring each of them to life. However, sometimes it’s hard to develop an initial concept for an interesting character.
So let’s ‘randomly’ generate some characters.
Rules:
The rules are simple. One person starts out with a character name. The next one posts the above character’s role, and then each following poster fleshes out the character a little more until we have a mini bio.
Process:
1. Post a character name and gender
2. Post the character’s role (antagonist or protagonist)
3. Post the character’s profession.
4. Describe characters hair color
5. Describe character’s eyes
6. Describe character’s height and weight
7. Describe any other distinguishing physical features.
8. List some of the character’s personality traits.
9. List some of the characters skills.
10. Based on the previous information, write a short bio for the character.
Once we get through each of the traits for a single character, we start anew with a brand new character and keep cycling through until we have a large enough cast to populate a novel.
Optional: After each character is designed, someone can draw said character and upload the pic to be posted in the thread (will probably be me, but anyone is welcome to).
I shall start.

walks with a slight gimp, perhaps because of a defect in the knee of his right leg. Also has very large, knobby hands which tend to swing side to side, like an ape’s, when he walks.

Loves jazz music, and decides to stalk his victims based on the artists they listen to. He dresses only in orange clothing, except for a blue tie and cufflinks, for it is his favorite color. He tends to act obsessive compulsive to the point where his few friends suspect he has OCD, but he’s never seen a therapist or psychologist so its not confirmed. His behavior often only makes sense to him, but his problem solving is unique and effective. Gets along with only a few people, but is extraordinarily close to them. He’s submissive in his friendships, but is firm when he doesn’t want to do something. He is asexual. Meaning that he has never felt sexual attraction to anyone, or anything.

This reminds me of this:
Said Jerome K. Jerome to Ford Madox Ford,
‘There’s something, old boy, that I’ve always abhorred:
When people address me and call me ‘Jerome’,
Are they being standoffish, or too much at home?’
Said Ford,’I agree; It’s the same thing with me.’
I always thought the last line was redundant, but it’s a nice verse.
